The District Docklands is a unique indoor/outdoor shopping centre in the suburb of Docklands in the inner-west of Melbourne. The District is home to various loved brands including H&M, Uniqlo, Cotton On, Bonds and many more!

As well as numerous restaurants, cafes and cocktail lounges, the District Dockland’s also offers a world of entertainment options. This includes the Melbourne star, which offers a 360-degree, unobstructed 40 kilometre view of Melbourne - as well as offering the enjoyment of viewing the newest films in Dockland’s commodious recliner seats in the Hoyts Cinema.

Collaboration - Lighting Design: NDY Light Melbourne

The desired outcome was to create a a sleek and modern design, while complimenting the urban village atmosphere in this Melbourne City shopping centre.

For this project, 140 custom-made matt black Globe 4000 Highbay pendants and 30 White Pendix pendants were supplied by TM Lighting Group.

The sleek, industrial features of the two pendant types which were selected for this project complimented the architectural elements of this space, inclusive of the timber decorative finishes, to provide a simplistic yet charming impression.
